Second album for Fusion Funk Foundation project, a collective of musicians that gravitate in the Milanese music scene with basic jazz experiences but with openness to the most groovy, funk and soul genres.
The compact rhythm section of the brothers Enzo and Gianni Lo Greco, leaders and composers of the project, goes back and forth to sound very familiar to them from the time of collaborations with black-and-funk African-American musicians like Maceo Parker, Steve Coleman , Incognito, Brand New Heavies, Jazzmatazz and many others. The game with the instruments that intertwine solos and dialogue with the groove create a balance between compositional counterpoint and pure improvisation.
